The Method Of Releasing Steel Wire Ropes For High-rise Elevators

Rope release method

1) The main equipment of the elevator has been installed, the car chassis has been calibrated, and the safety tongs have tightened the guide rails.

2) Assemble the counterweight frame at the top level and the level of the elevator car (the counterweight blocks will not be placed temporarily), and hang the frame with a chain hoist.

3) Set up a temporary rope laying frame outside the top hall door, and place each bundle of steel wire ropes on the frame, which should be able to rotate flexibly and be convenient for rope laying.

4) First, make one end of the steel wire rope rope and secure it to the machine room rope head plate according to the requirements, starting from the rope laying frame → square wood → car roof wheel → guide wheel → counterweight wheel → rope head.

5) Check the elevator shaft to ensure that there are no obstacles when the counterweight frame slides down. And mark the position of the frame sliding down at the bottom of the well or set up temporary supports to ensure the accuracy of the length of the steel wire rope.

6) After the counterweight frame slides to the designated position, clamp each steel wire rope with the steel wire rope on the chain hoist using a rope head clamp on the top layer to prevent the frame from sliding. Make the other end of the rope head again, hang it onto the rope head plate to fix it, and end the rope release.

7) Personnel allocation: Two people in the computer room are responsible for the brake rope device; Each bundle of steel wire ropes is equipped with one master to release the rope; To ensure consistent rope release speed, one person is responsible for commanding; Arrange one inspector outside the shaft, who runs down the stairs and reports on the position of the frame sliding and the tightness of each rope using a walkie talkie.

Safety measures

When using a counterweight frame to lay the steel wire rope, the braking device of the traction machine is not working. As the framework slides, without speed control measures, the speed at which the framework slides will become faster, which may lead to accidents. Therefore, during the process of releasing the rope, measures such as slowing down and stopping the rope were taken, allowing for deceleration or stopping at any time.

1) Slow down measures. Temporarily tie two sturdy square timber on the car pillar, so that each steel wire rope coils in an S-shape around these two square timber to the car roof wheel, increasing the friction force when the steel wire rope slides down, causing the frame to slowly slide down.

2) Brake rope measures. On the traction wheel in the computer room, use a wooden board with a thickness of about 50mm and the same width as the traction wheel, with one end pressed against the traction machine base, and 1/3 of the wooden board attached to the steel wire rope of the traction wheel. When decelerating or braking when releasing the rope, simply apply a certain amount of force to the other end of the wooden board to brake all the steel wire ropes.
