Monarch NICE900 Door Operator Error Code Er14

Today, we are discussing the Er14 fault on Monarch door operators. Er14 indicates a drive module overheat protection error; the internal temperature has become too high, triggering the unit's self-protection alarm and preventing the elevator doors from opening or closing properly.
Troubleshooting involves three steps:
First, check the environment of the machine room and control cabinet. If the ambient temperature is too high or the cabinet is obstructed-hindering airflow and heat dissipation-clear the surrounding area and improve ventilation to lower the temperature.
Second, disconnect the power and open the drive unit. Check if the cooling fan is spinning and inspect the air ducts for dust accumulation or blockages; clean away any dust, and replace the fan if it is faulty.
Third, once the temperature drops, the fault will generally reset automatically. If the overheat error persists after these measures, the internal power module of the drive is likely hardware-damaged; simply contact us to replace the drive unit.
